Spirituality Information - Existence Beyond Death
What would happen to your family if you died today? It is a rather blunt question, one that makes most people uncomfortable. Well, just imagine how uncomfortable your family would be if you left them in a financially difficult situation. This is why life insurance is so important.

Ego thrives on making life a pain, death a predicament, and aging a problem. It does so pretty successfully, too. Its aim is survival--immortality. Ego will cling tenaciously to positions, possessions, and people--even to your body. Which explains why aging is dreadful to most and death is fearful to everyone. Whenever you confuse the ego-self with who you really are--and who of us does not do this?--there is both resistance to aging and a revulsion of death.



Seeing myself in a different light is good news. I am no longer a helpless victim, but a strong survivor. Do I think he got what he deserved when he died? I certainly did not want him to die, and the fact that he died at a young age always makes me sad.


Preschool aged children do not typically understand that death is forever. They may think that the pet is sleeping or has run away or is just at the vet's office and will return. The wording is very important. Many times, parents will say that the pet "has gone away" or "went to sleep and did not wake up". This causes unrest and anxiety in many children. They may develop separation anxieties when they are dropped off at school or at a family member's home. Children may worry that their parent or caregiver might go away and not come back. Children do see death as temporary at this age and therefore may see death as "separation" rather than permanent.

You may need to get some old 8mm, 16mm or super 8 film converted into a digital form so you can add a clip of that to your funeral slideshow. But here's a hint: don't just go for the cheapest. Some converters don't even look at what they are doing with your priceless old film and the final result can be very dark, or very light, or it may have horrible ragged black edges.

Imagine that death is an entity that you can fully sense. Imagine it as a fully-formed being or as a shadow whose presence you can sense or see with a fleeting glance in your peripheral vision. Now imagine that the entity is close to you. It is standing on your left side, parallel to you. As you look ahead, you cannot see its full form. But, you know it is there. As you walk, talk, run, or play throughout the day, death remains no more than an arm's length away - at all times.

Offers of help. While food is almost always appreciated (see above), sometimes other offers of assistance are needed. Maybe you can provide some hours of childcare, walk a dog, buy a carload of groceries or clean a house. The best thing to do is ask what is needed - then provide.

Today, there are many different styles of funeral services and memorials, and there are many different types of funeral wreaths as well. It is traditional with the tape on the front which has a special message. There are those who say things like flowers themselves. There are even themes wreaths come in various forms, such as the U.S. flag. You can have any color combination you like and come in almost any size.
