Did you catch the American Idol finals in 2015 between Taylor Hicks and Catherine What's Her Name? Who won? The one with the very best voice? Or the one with the most personality?

So many business owners squander their time and cash bragging about being the finest. "We sell the best doohickeys ..." "We supply the finest client service ..." '

It's dopey to brag about being the very best! Why? 'Cause
1. Everybody says it.
2. It's probably not true.
3. We don't believe you anyway
But do not stress over it, 'cause
4. We're not constantly trying to find the very best.

Are they the finest? avseetv Not 30 years earlier when the song came out and certainly not now. In some way a geriatric Rod got to wiggle his properties on American Idol along with Taylor Hicks!

The "It" Factor
In showbiz, there's an expression "You've got 'it'." What's "it"?

The reason they call it "it" is because it's difficult to put it into words. It's got something to do with charisma, magnetism, the power to bring in and hold an audience. Frankly, Rod Stewart never ever did it for me, but Elvis definitely had "it".

Access Your Inner Elvis
I simply saw a motion picture about Elvis' life. Why are individuals so interested by Elvis? Why are they still informing me "Tsufit, I simply saw Elvis at a corner store!" when he died before Britney Spears was born? Why? Since a personality that big never passes away.

Why was the guy such a star? Was it his appearance, his personality, his voice, his music? It's most likely all of those things-- together with this magical thing called "it", however even with Elvis, it took him a while to find his inner "it".

In the film, a docu-drama (or shlock-u-drama), Elvis walks into Sun Records, a little Memphis recording studio, to sing for Sam Phillips. Elvis sings like Bill Monroe; he sings like Bing Crosby; he sings like yesterday's news. Just another singer. A dime a dozen.

It wasn't a quickie, even for Elvis, to discover his initial voice. Ultimately he did discover it.

What's this got to do with entrepreneurs? Whatever!

You got ta find your original voice. You got ta gain access to your Inner Elvis!
