What are the good Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves to watch during the Holy Week?
The Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves (2022) film is the newest addition to the world of epic fantasy and adventure, built on the board game of the identical name. The film is written by Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley and stars Chris Pine, Michelle Rodriguez and Rege-Jean Page , among others.

The story follows a group of thieves who are looking to steal a powerful magic item from a medieval city and battling numerous enemies and obstacles, including the adventurers, led by an elven Paladin (sort of). The movie has all the elements of the common Dungeons & Dragons adventure: swords, magic, dragons, treasure, and epic fights.

The film is meant to launch a franchise. It's produced by Paramount and by eOne, a company that belongs to Hasbro, owner of the rights (and of the game) in Dungeons & Dragons.

When we watch the trailer, we know what we're going to find: a film with a less or more predictable plot, little-developed characters and so on. It doesn't matter, since what Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves seeks is to provide us with an enjoyable and engaging story, where comedy and action are not lacking. He succeeds with aplomb.


We enter a world that isn't just familiar, but will be extremely enjoyable because of that familiarity. The main character, Grayson (played by Pine), is a thief who has a heart of gold who is trying to get back his money. The main storyline of the film is the search for the elusive object, it is somewhat predictable, but the story, the pace and the acting are enough to keep the audience interested for just two hours.

Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves stream provides us with a number of moments in which the action is exciting and well choreographed. The film is interspersed with hilarious dialogue (although somewhat simple, it is real) and well- choreographed fight scenes.

Of course, the editing and visual effects are consistent but they stand out in areas of the film in which the quality is higher. It will not win the Oscar for the best special effects, but it does pass with a good grade.

Maybe some players of the game may be blamed for its lack of fidelity to the original board game. However, it's because it's an adaptation a spin-off if we want even though it's true that the film is based on the Dungeons & Dragons game, the plot and the characters are not directly related to the mythology of the game, and it's not something we can expect to see an accurate and exciting film adaptation that is big on screen.


The cast is also impressive. I can only say that it's solid, with talented actors doing their best with the characters they have been given. It is possible that Michelle Rodriguez stands out especially in her role as an imposing warrior. the previously mentioned Chris Pine in his role as the mischievous thief as well as the other cast members even in lesser measure is appropriate for their roles, with some well-executed comedy points. They provide much-needed comic relief in the midst of the action.

We must allow for the hilarious Hugh Grant who lately seems to be extremely at ease with this kind of character: very important supporting roles and, above all, a lot of charisma (as we've witnessed on the screen in Operacion Fortune: the great Hoax or in Backstabbers The Mysteries of the Glas Onnion)
