With the release of the latest trailer of Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves, IGN sat down with the film's writer-directors John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein to get to know all kinds of D&D facts, behind the scenes details, and the secrets that are hidden in the brand new images.

Here is the brand new trailer for Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves in US.

Before diving into the details of the movie's trailer, filmmakers from Game Night shared their philosophy on how they approached the making of the film.

It's not a surprise that Dungeons & Dragons tabletop RPG is a variety of things for many, and includes everything from manticores and mind-savers to rings and runes, but the essence is a method of telling the story. For Daley and Goldstein this meant identifying an underlying theme that they could draw from.

"This film is about families," says Daley. "Despite Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves (2023) Full movie that binds them is a desire to repair something larger than them. What ultimately connects them is the newly-found love they end up having for each other." one another."

While the film has been set within the universe of D&D and tells familiar tales however, it's the result of a rewrite or adaptation any pre-existing D&D story, but rather a new story that is meant to convey the excitement of playing D&D. The concept was to create a film full of things that D&D players would enjoy however, it also tells a story that a newcomer would enjoy the same.

"The creatures, the monsters and the magical locations, everything will be portrayed. We don't want to overwhelm you if you do not know anything about D&D or have never played it either. Above all, we were hoping for a fun adventure that was unique from what you're familiar with," Daley explains.

Here's the frame-byframe breakdown of the second trailer for Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves.

Goldstein: We begin in Neverwinter the city that is among the largest cities in the Forgotten Realms in Dungeons & Dragons. It's The Neverland Castle. And we wanted to create a city that felt real and vibrant with activity but also a mixture of beauty and dirt.

Daley: We wanted to investigate the various periods during which the city was constructed. Any ancient city you see in Europe looks like it was built in the past and has centuries of history behind it. It was crucial for us to find something that felt authentic, however, it was also distinct from everything else seen in our world.

Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves is released in cinemas on March 31. It brings together a cast of elite actors to offer a review of the fabled Hasbro board game that had at the beginning of the 2000s, another somewhat unsuccessful adaptation; Chris Pine, Michelle Rodriguez and Rege-Jean Page Justice Smith, Hugh Grant and Sophia Lillis are in charge of playing in this latest Dungeons and Dragons action under the direction by John Francis Daley and Jonathan M. Goldstein who are the directors of the project. The cast is set to go into fantasy after surprising with Game Night. We were recently able to chat with part of the crew for the film to learn about the secrets they have, and how prepared the project had been and to discuss the possibility of getting to watch more Dungeons & Dragons installments in the years to come.

One of the first interviews we were able conduct included John Francis Daley and Jonathan M. Goldstein as the directors mentioned earlier in this project, who are in the hands of the producer Jeremy Latcham, who has also been involved in successful projects like Avengers as well as Guardians of the Galaxy. Sitting across from the heads of Honor Among Thieves, we realized that all have played Dungeons & Dragons in their entire lives however at different levels: "Yes, we've played at different level," began Jonathan Goldstein. "I played when I was a kid and John has played more recently, now an adult over the course of a two-year period." The directors are 17 years apart and Goldstein being the oldest and Daley is the youngest. "It was three years of fighting. We fought for two years before we made the film, which was among the reasons why we wanted to do it," added the aforementioned Daley.

Jeremy Latcham claims to have never played Dungeons & Dragons, this feature film is his first encounter with the world of fantasy: "I've never played, either as a child or in my adult years. The film has been my first introduction to my world of D&D and has been an interesting experience." Latcham states that having no knowledge about the game allowed him to have an interesting role during the development of the project, and to interact with those who run the game and those who do not. The producer's role is fascinating since it could be among the most difficult. Making comics or games compatible with video is something that we are currently doing
