With the release of the latest trailer for Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves, IGN sat with the film's writers-directors John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein to get to know all kinds of D&D facts, behind the scenes details, and the secrets that are hidden in the latest images.

First of all, here is the brand new trailer trailer Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves in US.

Before delving into details about the trailer, the filmmakers of Game Night shared their philosophy on how they came up with the idea of this film.

It's no surprise it is true that Dungeons & Dragons tabletop RPG can mean a lot for many, and could include everything from manticores and mind-destroying weapons to runes and rings, however, at its heart is a method of telling the story. For Daley and Goldstein, that meant finding the central theme they could use as a basis.

"This movie is about families," says Daley. "Despite their apparent differences, what holds them together is a desire to fix something that is so much larger than them. And then what most importantly keeps them in sync is this growing attraction they are having for each other." one another."

The film, though, has been set within the universe of D&D and includes familiar stories but it's in no way an adaption of any pre-existing D&D story, but rather an entirely new tale that is meant to convey the excitement of playing D&D. https://www.dungeonsdragonshonoramongthievesmovi.com/ was to create a film filled with the things D&D enthusiasts would love and tell a tale that new players would love the same.

"The creatures, the monsters and the magical locations, everything will be portrayed. But we don't want to overpower you if do not know anything about D&D or have never played it before. In the end, we wanted to create a fun adventure that was unique from the games you're familiar with," Daley explains.

Here's the frame by frame breakdown of the trailer 2 for Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves.

Goldstein: We start with Neverwinter the city that is among the largest cities in the Forgotten Realms in Dungeons & Dragons. It's the Neverland Castle. And we wanted to create a city that felt real and alive with activity but also a mixture of beauty and dirt.

Daley: We were interested in exploring the many times that this city was constructed. Every city you see in Europe appears to have been lived in and has centuries of history behind it. It was important to us to discover something that felt authentic, however, it was also distinct from everything else that we have seen.

Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves opens in theaters on March 31. It brings the best actors to offer a review of the fabled Hasbro board game that had, in the early 2000s an unsuccessful sequel; Chris Pine, Michelle Rodriguez and Rege-Jean Page Justice Smith, Hugh Grant and Sophia Lillis are in charge of starring in this new Dungeons and Dragons action under the guidance by John Francis Daley and Jonathan M. Goldstein, the filmmakers in charge of the project who go into fantasy after surprising with Game Night. We recently had the opportunity to speak with some of the film crew to find out some of their secrets, to learn about how the preparation for the work had been, and also to discuss the possibility of having the opportunity to see more Dungeons & Dragons installments in the near future.

One of the first interviews we were able to do was with John Francis Daley and Jonathan M. Goldstein who are directors of this project, who are under the direction of director Jeremy Latcham, who has also participated in other successful projects, such as Avengers as well as Guardians of the Galaxy. As we sat across from the directors of Honor Among Thieves, we found out that they all have played Dungeons & Dragons in their entire lives however in different ways: "Yes, we've played at various levels," began Jonathan Goldstein. "I played as a kid and John has played , more recently, now an adult in about a two-year campaign." The directors are separated by 17 years in age, with Goldstein being the oldest and Daley is the youngest. "It involved three years of fighting. We played for two years prior to preparing this film, and that was among the main reasons why we decided to do the film," added the aforementioned Daley.

Jeremy Latcham claims to have never played Dungeons & Dragons, this feature film is his first contact with the famous fantasy universe: "I've never played, either as a child or in my adult years. The film was my introduction into my world of D&D and it's been fascinating." Latcham says that his lack of knowledge about the game allows him to play a fascinating role during the development of the work, dialoguing between the people who are in charge of the initial game as well as those that don't. The producer's role is fascinating because it's possibly one of the most complicated. Making comics or games compatible with video is something that we are currently doing
