Out of all of these, I understand all of them, but only the main concepts (or what was written). I know these were his main points, but I don't quite understand any of them in depth. I think topic that I understand the most is "The fact that you won't be alone when you die" because of my long past with religion. For 10 years of my life, I attended a Catholic elementary-middle school and of course we learned religion. The idea of an afterlife - or heaven, as well call it - makes so much sense to me (in the sense that I understand the concept). Who/What you believe in should not scare you, but instead bring you peace. When it is time to face death, instead of worrying, one should "greet death as an old friend" or accept it because it is inevitable and if you have made peace with it, then there should be no reason to fear what is coming. What I don't understand is most of the language and how the author phrases his ideas. Because of this, I am not quite sure what the effect of nature has on the author. I believe he means to say how nature help calms him when thinking of death and that it can also give one peace and help with the acceptance of one's fate.
