Great Seo - The Success Of Your Internet Business Depends On It
There have been a number of blog and forum posts and articles recently about what to do if you're with a bad SEO company. All good advice, but sometimes it's not the SEO that's bad, its the client. Yeah, that's right, sometimes the client's are just plain clueless, have unreasonable expectations, or fall prey to the "grass is greener" scenario presented by competition. Yes, sometimes clients are bad.

Anyway, if you don't have the budget to hire an SEO writer to write your articles for you, I'll show you a very simple way to write SEO-friendly articles. It's not hard, I promise you.

Now I always kept a good eye on my stats but I'd failed to note that results from Google, these days, aren't just from Google any more. They're from Google Images too - and despite the fact that I'd tanked in Google etc for text searches, unknown to me as my old stats package didn't make the distinction, my posters were still very very well ranked in Google Images. I only found this out by studying my Google Analytic stats, a service I'd only recently signed up to in anticipation of clients expecting me to keep them abreast of Search Engine and SEO events.

Even the search engines can identify "filler text" these days. Human visitors will strike you right off their list if you can't give them the information they came for.

Many of the people liked my website design and content, thus giving me a high trade link success rate. In my niche 'surfing' or 'surf reports' most of the webmasters aren't out to get money or take your search engine rankings, so it was actually a little easier getting backlinks.

A high quality seo company will have a number of characteristics which set them apart from other companies. Good sites will have good reviews from other webmasters. If you are not sure which company to go with, join a webmaster forum and ask the webmasters there which seo companies they recommend. While some will obviously refer you to their own companies, you will get a sense for which companies are good and which are not so good. The seo companies which are the most popular are the companies you should consider.

Always make sure your SEO copywriter gives you an indication of the number of words they expect to write per web page. While it's necessary to have a decent body of words on most of your web pages, you certainly shouldn't have too many. What "too many" is all depends on your industry, the objective of the page, and the needs of your audience. It's always a delicate balance, but it's certainly possible to rank highly with only 100-200 words per page. So don't be fooled into paying for copy you don't need!

Most SEO's should give you some information on where your site stands currently. You links, keywords, where you rank on major search engines etc.. Or, do one yourself. My article "Google's Helping hand" show you free tools that can help you evaluate where you are on search engines. Don't go into any SEO work blindly. Know where you stand before and after.

So, when you design your website, make sure that you make it as easy as possible for the search engines to know what your website is about. This is called "SEO", Search Engine Optimization.
