The X-Men comic book series has had a long history and a famous popularity. The manner in which this series was promoted through movie posters from 2000's X-Men: The Last Stand to this year's X-Men: Days of Future Past isn't a method I find particularly inspiring.
Despite the hype, this series's first X-Men film was largely disappointing and the advertising campaign for it was a complete disaster. There were some good posters, but the majority of them were simple and simplistic to be taken seriously. While there were a few good posters that told the X-Men's origin story, the principal poster that was used for X-Men: The Last Stand wasn't terrible at all.
There's Men I Trust Merch about the whole X-Men franchise, but I can't help but feel that it's all the result of their marketing. They've mastered the art of selling Wolverine and the big 'X', however, they've failed in marketing Dark Phoenix.
This is a shame since the X-Men comic book is among my absolute favorites, so I always looked forward to this series. The soundtrack was even purchased by me. Although the songs aren't terrible however, they could have been more widely promoted and promoted.
The problem with the X-Men film series is that, if it wasn't for their posters the franchise wouldn't have developed into the success they have today. This is particularly true when you consider that X-Men - The Last Stand was a film that had the potential to be a great thrill, however its posters failed to capture it.
The film was also not promoted the film effectively, which was a significant reason why people were disenchanted from the movie. As a fan of the series, I have to declare that the X-Men: The Last Stand posters are among the worst I've seen. The X-Men: The Last Stand poster is a boring image. It shows Wolverine's claws but without other characters, and it uses an uninteresting image featuring Magneto as well as Professor X as a way to market the film.
However, I believe it's worth noting that this particular poster is an advertising piece by the Australian War Memorial. Its goal was to motivate Australian men to join World War One and it does this using a variety of methods.
It is the first to have the pronoun "you" in the second person "you" in the text which is a clear way to get the attention of the viewers with the text, and then speak directly to them. The poster also features a woman and child, that makes it a compelling reason for the man to register for the army. The girls and women are dependent on their husbands and would not be left on their own.
It also includes a toy soldier which the boy is playing with. This is also a strong image that helps to persuade people to join because it symbolizes that the soldiers fight for their country and are the ally of the soldier.
