AirAsia is the most affordable low-cost airline in Southeast Asia with 54 aircraft and approximately 2'500 flights per week. This new airline has transported more passengers than Singapore Airlines. Australia's main plane companies are Quantas and Jetstar. Virgin Blue is the second. You can also find smaller groups in other states like Kendall in New South Wales, Victoria and South Australia, Queensland, Hazelton in NSW, Sunstate in Queensland, Skywest in WA, and Hazelton in NSW. Quantas seem to be more expensive than Jetstar and Virgin Blue. But as precised before, they don't offer any meals or additional services during the flight. They open the check-in counter 2 hours prior to departure. It seems that you can check-in at any time with Blue Virgin during the same day of departure. This can be an advantage if you are in long transit.
For all low-cost carriers company, you would prefer to reserve your ticket quiet in advance as they are full booked most of the time. However, if you have a very flexible schedule, you can wait the last moment to take advantage of the last minutes cheap tickets offers.
