Fumos Spell adalah sebuah mantra yang berfungsi untuk menciptakan kabut atau asap tebal di sekitar pengguna, sehingga pengguna dapat menghindari serangan atau mengaburkan pandangan lawan. Mantra ini tercakup dalam buku The Dark Forces: A Guide to Self-Protection oleh Profesor Quentin Trimble.
Efek kabut yang dihasilkan dari mantra ini berguna untuk membuat musuh bingung atau mengganggu pandangan mereka, sehingga memberikan kesempatan bagi pengguna untuk melarikan diri atau menyerang musuh dengan kejutan. Namun, efek Fumos Spell ini dapat dihilangkan dengan mantra Finite Incantatem yang dapat menghilangkan mantra sihir apapun. Karena itu, mantra ini tidak dapat diandalkan sebagai satu-satunya pertahanan atau strategi dalam pertempuran sihir.
Mantra ini memiliki kesulitan tingkat tinggi sehingga biasa diajarkan di tingkat lima. Salah satu pengajarnya adalah Profesor Patricia Rakepick pada saat itu, untuk mengajari mereka sihir pertahanan yang efektif dan praktis. Pelafalan dari mantra ini adalah ‘FYOO-moss’, penekanan pada kata ‘FYOO’. Kalau berhasil, nantinya akan mengeluarkan cahaya berwarna abu-abu.
