John Wick: Chapter 4 - The Killer's Creed
John Wick: Chapter 4 follows on from what happened in Parabellum in which John Wick having been shot by Winston and saved by the Bowery King. Wick has discovered a new way to retaliate against the rulers of the High Table with the goal of destroying their empire and earning his freedom. However, to combat Wick's constant pursue and vengeance, The High Table introduces a new character: the dangersome Marquis Vincent de Gramont. The Marquis is looking for anyone who offers the Baba Yaga assistance, thus turning old friends into foes.

John Wick: Chapter 4, once again helmed by director Chad Stahelski, features the return of powerhouse performers Keanu Reeves, Laurence Fishburne, Lance Reddick as well as Ian McShane. John Wick Chapter 4 movie that stars in the film is John Wick newcomers Donnie Yen, Bill Skarsgard, Hiroyuki Sanada, Shamier Anderson, Rina Sawayama, Scott Adkins, and Clancy Brown. The John Wick universe John Wick, which debuted in 2014, is growing with the newest installment, a spin-off movie, Ballerina, and a prequel spin-off television show, The Continental.

Screen Rant spoke with Laurence Fishburne about reprising his role in the role of Bowery King in John Wick Chapter 4. He discusses collaborating on the show with Chad Stahelski and Keanu Reeves' growth after The Matrix. Fishburne also reveals whether he's interested in a Bowery King spin-off.


Screen Rant"All Hail the King" man! I am a fan of the Bowery King! He has such a gravitas to him, even when he's in plain view. What has your attitude towards his character changed over time since he first was introduced?

That's incredible. Now, the world-building in John Wick is phenomenal. They make every location and setting appear as if they are a character in their own. Can you talk to me about the world of John Wick and if you'd like to watch a follow-up of the Bowery King?

You've been collaborating with Keanu Reeves, going all up to The Matrix. Do you want to talk to me about the ways you've witnessed his growth and development in his time since then from then to today?

Laurence Fishburne: Well, the stamina and discipline required of him over this past decade in Wick it's incredible. It's really, really something. Also, his Judo game alone in this movie. The gun game he played in the second film and then the Judo is simply amazing.

This is the problem with these films. I truly believe they're this John Wick franchise is one of the few franchises out there that is just getting better with each installment. It's incredible.

Laurence Fishburne: That's been deliberate. And that's really down to Chad, Keanu, and the entire team.

In relation to Chad the director has been on board for all four of these films. What can you tell us about how you collaborated with him in these movies?

Laurence Fishburne: He's a student of film. He's a pupil of action film. He's a student of international film. He's an incredible martial artist. He has incredible ability and discipline and has brought all of these aspects together. It's clear that his partnership with Keanu we're really enjoying the harvest that they have shared.

After the conclusion in John Wick 3, the Bowery King decides to save John Wick. What happens to the relationship between him and John Wick in Chapter Four?

Laurence Fishburne: Well, I'm thinking that's the nature of the relationship between John Wick and Bowery King. Remember in two when Bowery King first appears. Bowery King first appears, is the one who Wick it goes to when everything is looking like it's headed for the toilet. But then suddenly the toilet appears. You're now in the sewer along with the King Rat and it's pretty amazing.
