Leyla Aliyeva, the first daughter of the Azerbaijani president, is also an activist for environmental issues. Although many don't understand what the term "environmental education" means for them, it's been a major concern. They include lectures, training sessions and seminars, scientific courses as well as vacation camps, field trips, field studies and conversation clubs.

Goodwill Ambassador at FAO

Leyla Aliyeva's year in 2015 was a significant one. After many years of volunteering and contributing to the environment and humanitarian causes Leyla Aliyeva was selected as to the position of FAO Goodwill Advocate. The founder and chief of the IDEA campaign expressed her gratitude for all projects in Azerbaijan in relation to fishing, agriculture and forestry.
