The Bardo Experience And Death Journey
Perhaps, you have talked to a man of the cloth who has told you all about Jesus Christ, our Savior. Perhaps, this individual has quoted scripture, and shown how Jesus Christ led a perfect life, but unfortunately, was crucified by those which were unfaithful, the pagans who did not believe in his God. Not long ago, I was at a Starbucks, and someone offered to invite me to a local church barbecue. The reality is I am not a churchgoer, and I wasn't interested, therefore, I let him know.

Fourthly, get the background of the company or the insurer that you have dealt or approached with. Make sure that is has the license and has naturally the authority to make such insurance policies.



It is sad to see people who are afraid to grow old, not because of losing their youth, but because it is bringing them closer to death. The fear can become so great that it robs them of the time they have left.

"Honey, Miss Kitty died last night. She's probably gone up to sit on Grandma's lap and keep her company." Give some time for the initial words to sink in and be prepared for whatever reaction. Most children can handle the word "died" much better than we give them credit for. By all means, you can put forward any religious belief you wish, but take the mystery out of it for the child and tell them the truth. Kids appreciate the truth. They need to know they can trust you, especially in times of crisis.


I've learned that most everyone is living "too fast". By funeral programs can choose to live "fast" and miss the beauty and treasures of life, or choose to live slower, appreciatively, in a way which enriches our experience of the gift of life.

This is by far the most important reason to pre-plan your funeral before you die. You will know with 100% certainty that your wishes will be carried out. What type of music do you want played at your funeral? Do you want to be buried or cremated? By making these decisions, you can be assured that this is what will take place. After funeral programs , if there is an after-life, you want to be satisfied with how the funeral went, right?

Back to our views of death, where to they come from? We know they are taught to us by our family. There is also who we are that determines this as well. That intangible feeling we have in the pit of our gut. funeral programs call it a conscience, but I see it as something beyond that. I see it as a set of rules that lies within the core of each of us. Through our entire lives we are witnesses to death. From the moment we enter the world to the point at which we become aware of the concept is the only freedom we enjoy from death during our lives. If we die during this time period than we leave this world never knowing the sadness of the death of others. Not just people either.

I am not sure if the Nelson's were a part of my invention, or my reinvention. I think both, because I think back when trying to make a decision and remember some of the life lessons I learned back then watching Ozzie, Harriet David and Ricky Nelson on TV.
