Most of us are 'not' living, but in fact, we are dying daily. This is true both in Physical and Psychological senses. In Physical sense, we die daily because, daily thousands of cells die.

Card or letter, phone calls or email. A card is always appreciated as it is a long-term keepsake. If you didn't know the person well, an email will suffice.

Make plans with the funeral home but be careful. This is a time of grief and not a good time to be negotiating spending money. Many funeral homes offer plans including services, transportation etc. These all come with a cost. Bring someone that is not emotionally tied to help you make some of these decisions.

He gave us music but he lived in a silent world with his own personal demons.

Family members should work together to make sure each part of the service is taken care of. Delegating during this time is essential as it is extremely difficult for one person to take on all of the details by themselves.
