Oklahoma! Dvd 1955

The movie was made in two versions, filmed at the same time and there are slight differences. Overall this may be a worthwhile buy when you enjoyed the movie and its catchy music. I did really feel it had dated and was maybe slightly overlong and needed shortening to about two hours, but that's interfering with history and how the Studio needed the audiences of sixty years in the past to take pleasure in their film. The extras are additionally extraordinarily informative giving a full technical rationalization of the Todd-AO process and why it was so good.

She has all the physical endowments of a Marilyn Monroe but with the added qualities of sweetness and intelligence that make her marvelously horny and appealing. The first Rodgers & Hammerstein collaboration, this Academy Award winner for Best Score features the basic songs "Oh, What a Beautiful Mornin'," "The Surrey with the Fringe on Top" and "People Will Say We're in Love." Other films have been filmed/recorded using this process - notably the Sound Of Music and South Pacific - but this is the best product of that system. Yes the soundtrack will have been re-mastered, but you'll be able to't create what wasn't there within the first place. From the first thrilling bars of the full cinema overture, you experience layers of strings and horns which are true excessive fidelity.


Also included are many extras, and scene by scene commentary, and much extra. Her songs needed to be edited together from recordings made virtually literally observe by observe.
