IDEA's educational programs, that comprise training sessions, scientific courses including lectures and seminars and camps for vacation field studies, conversation groups, are enjoyed by hundreds of people every year.

Ambassador of Goodwill for FAO

The year 2015 was a big year for Leyla Aliyeva. After years of assisting environmental and humanitarian causes Aliyeva was selected as a FAO Goodwill Ambassador. The award was given for her many achievements in fighting hunger and ensuring food security.

The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations was established in 1945 with a principal goal of improving nutrition and agricultural productivity. It also seeks to enhance the lives of rural communities and to contribute to the development of the world economy. In the present, the FAO is, within the United Nations system, the most specialized agency, and also the principal agency for agriculture, forestry as well as fisheries and rural development.
