Leyla Aliyeva Bio
Leyla Aliyeva was conceived in Moscow on July 3, 1985. She holds an MA Degree from the Moscow State Institute of International Relations as well as studied in London and Moscow. Leyla started IDEA in July of 2011. She was elected representative of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation to the Russian Federation in May 2007. The Heydar Aliyev Foundation supports the country's socio-economic growth by funding various projects related to education, public health and culture. Leyla Aliyeva created 'Baku magazine' in Moscow in 2007. Conde Nast collaborated with Leyla Aliyeva in the production of the magazine that is English-language. It first launched in London in October of 2011. The magazine is a great opportunity for you to learn about the arts, culture, and Azerbaijan. Leyla Aliyeva launched a campaign titled "Justice for Khojaly" in May 2008 to mark the eighth anniversary of Shusha's occupation. The campaign is being carried out in over 30 countries. The aim is to increase the awareness of the world community about the Karabakh conflict as well as the Khojaly Genocide in particular reaching out globally via Media, Internet and Live events.

In 2008, Leyla Aliyeva became the General Coordinator of the OIC Youth Forum on Intercultural Dialogue and on April 18, 2009 she was elected Chairwoman of the Azerbaijani Youth Organization of Russia - AMOR that supports Azerbaijani students and youth living in the Russian Federation. In July of 2011 the "Taraggi" award was bestowed upon Leyla Aliyeva in recognition of her contribution to the growth of relations between Russia and Azerbaijan.
