In a network security, architecture was designed in late 80s, early 90s. At the time, the notion was, you get on the network by connecting to the network in your office. Once you're on the network, you're like getting on Highway 80 here, you can reach Miami, New York or Dallas without hitting a single light, wonderful. Once you get on the network, the firewall is creating a trusted network, and everything else is untrusted. So, I wanted to go back to sort of the SASE market and sort of defining the SASE market. I think there is a lot of different definitions out there.

Identity and access management company Okta has acquired threat intelligence firm Bad Packets. Okta told SecurityWeek that Bad Packets’ extensive honeypot network will be used to bolster Okta’s customer identity focus, threat insights, and overall technology offering. “Bad Packets brings incredible knowledge from the threat intelligence space that will be leveraged internally as well as within the Okta/Auth0 product offerings,” Okta said.

Technology incrementally changes all the time. But disrupt architecture change happens every 20 to 30 years, okay. And I think SASE has become a buzzword, even Zero Trust has become a buzzword.

"Things will happen as long as humans and nature are involved," says Misha Kuperman, senior vice president of cloud operations and ecosystem at Zscaler. He adds, "With the right tools, we can deliver more reliability and work around such incidents, as we have done on multiple occasions." Today, 72% of companies are prioritizing the adoption of a zero trust model. Some of its competitors are top rankers, with Okta at 8.30%, Cerberus Cyber Sentinel at 7.93%, and SentinelOne with a 7.70% market share. While the score may vary for different products, Zscaler has overwhelmingly positive reviews across multiple third-party review sites.
