The Spurs Shirt – a Coffee Table Book
The Spurs Shirt book is a lovely coffee table book. It features a unique collection shirts worn by Tottenham Hotspur players throughout their rich history. The book includes more than 100 shirts that are from the club's glorious historical past. These include home and away strips of all post-war cup semifinals. There are also legendary shirts worn the likes Paul Gascoigne (Paul Greaves), Ricky Villa and Jimmy Greaves. The book covers three years of research to provide a complete overview of the history of one England's most recognizable football clubs.

The book's opening section covers the club’s past. The book contains a comprehensive history of team history, covering the time from 1882 when it was formed to the present. This includes the team’s history, their move from White Hart Lane to 1899 and the creation of the club’s crest.

The team was known for wearing the red shirts of Preston North End during the 19th century. Later, the navy blue shirts are still worn today. SpursShirt was crowned Southern League champions, in 1900. They also won the FA Cup, in 1901. SpursShirt were also involved in the FA Cup finals of 1967. Tottenham won the League Cup their first time winning it in 1971. After a long period, they were mediocre and finally got promoted to the 1st division.

The history of Spurs Shirt has been fascinating. Although the crest is now a different design, its fundamental elements have remained the exact same. The crest was inspired by a shirt worn on the Preston North End team's 1890s football team. SpursShirt has since become an iconic symbol of Tottenham's sporting culture. The original crest contained only the words "Tottenham Hotspur", but was changed in the 1960s to incorporate a Latin motto called "To dare it is to do".

The crest was revised in the 1960s. However, the shirts remained consistent. A new badge design was introduced in 2006 with a simplified cockerel. It is the same style as the crest worn between 1967 and 1982. However, the badge was eventually removed after one season.

A key feature of Spurs Shirts is the cockerel theme, which was featured on shirts from 1927 to 30. This badge was the first to feature an animal emblem in the Football League. Harry Hotspur (the club's founder) was also known to have liked the cockerel. He was an avid cockfighter.

Tottenham's history has been filled with many myths as well as controversies. They have signed Argentine World Cup champions in the past and were once a fixture for the second division. They have evolved into a formidable English Premier League team in modern times. Osvaldo Ariles, Glenn Hoddle Bill Nicholson and Ricky Villa are just a few of many legends associated this club.

Tottenham's emblem has seen many changes over the years. Its colours have also changed to reflect its evolution. In recent decades, the crest is now coloured yellow.
