Character: Thaylinn & Saar'dmar
Home: Halewood - A small town in an outcrop of a greater woods

Story Synopsis:
-Thaylinn is a *Insert Race Here* who grew up in Halewood
-Halewood had two wells. One in the center where everyone got their water, and another abandoned on the outskirts of the village. The abandoned well had a grate stopping anyone from falling in. Grate was about 3 feet deep in the well.
-As a child, he played hide and seek with the other children
-During hide and seek Thaylinn laid inside the well on top of the grate. While hiding he heard a faint voice from within the well. The voice spoke "Isz Saar'dmar savik'salo-ra". This was not a language Thaylinn understood.
-No one else could hear the voice. Thaylinn became an outcast among children and avoided by adults.
-One day (Thaylinn is now a young adult) the dark elves came up from the underdark and raided Halewood.
-Thaylinn found his mom dead and watched his father get slain. He ran to hide in the abandoned well.
-The grate gave out and Thaylinn fell down into the darkness
-When at the bottom he was gravely injured, and he woke to the sound of the voice speaking to him once more.
-The Voice was much louder and he knew it was coming from the staff which stood in front of him in the light coming down from the well.
-He could now understand the voice as saying "I am Saar'dmar, come to me"
-When he touched the staff, it went quiet. But after a moment he heard from within his own head "Yesssssss"
-The staff started oozing blood out of its pores and the blood streamed directly into Thaylinn's wounds.
-Saar'dmar spoke again within Thaylinn's head "You are mine now"
-Thaylinn's wounds began to heal and he began feeling better rapidly
-Thaylinn also felt more powerful than he had felt before
-Saar'dmar revealed his soul blade and spoke to Thaylinn "Bring me souls, and I shall share my power with you"
-Saar'dmar retracted the soul blade and spoke his final words to Thaylinn "But not yet, soon that time will come to pass"
-Thaylinn was found by the Dark Elves on their way back to the underdark with loot & prisoners in tow
-Thaylinn was captured and Saar'dmar was taken by the Dark Elves.

Notes:
-When Saar'dmar infused Thaylinn with his blood, Thaylinn unknowingly had taken some magical power from the Scythe.
-This transfusion also gave Thaylinn the ability to speak and understand Infernal (Which Saar'dmar primarily speaks) and Abyssal.
-The Dark Elves do not know the power of Saar'dmar and are unaware that the ornate-gothic black staff they are carrying is a sentient weapon.
-Saar'dmar roughly translates to "Vampiric Reaper"
-The spells Thaylinn will get from Saar'dmar are going to reflect this. He is primarily going to be learning necromancy and spells which drain life from the victim.
-Although Undercommon would be an extremely useful language to know for this campaign, Thaylinn does not know it. This will definitely make him feel like an outsider and sell the fact that he is in an unknown world.
-Thaylinn is quite unwise and isn't able to fully weigh the fact that he has bound his soul to a potentially demonic weapon
-Thaylinn bears a strong hatred towards creatures of the underdark and especially the dark elves
-Saar'dmar wishes to collect souls to empower itself and is using Thaylinn as a vessel for this
-Saar'dmar in reaper form, will emanate the sound of an orchestra of souls howling out
