Planning a funeral is never a easy task. You will get some help from the funeral home, if you employ one. But still you are grieved at the loss of your loved one and this may not be something you are willing to take on yourself. It is sometimes hard to know what your loved one would have wanted in a memorial or funeral service. That is why everyone should have a funeral planner. If you pre-plan your own funeral then your family and friends would all know just what you wishes and desires were.

The Eulogy. A remembrance and acknowledgment of Mom and the significance of her life to all who shared it. The eulogy can be delivered by one or several family members and friends, or by a member of the clergy. We chose a local minister who shared some of our fondest memories of Mom. A close friend also sang one of Mom's favorite hymns, The Old Rugged Cross. The funeral home arranged for a closed circuit broadcast of the eulogy service, accessible on the internet, for relatives who could not attend the funeral.


I don't know exactly what elements are in every person's life, but I can tell you this; if you smoke, you've got death in your life. If you drink liquor excessively, you've got death in your life. If you eat saturated fats excessively, you've got DEATH in your life. If a portion of your income comes from an illegal source, you've got death in your life. If you're in a sexual relationship with someone who is in other sexual relationships, you've got DEATH in your life. Truth be told, every person reading this has some DEATH hidden in a closet somewhere.

Freddie Mercury: The lead singer of the band Queen died due to bronchial pneumonia brought on by AIDS in the year 1991. He was world famous for his live performances, great singing ability and charisma. Mercury was a homosexual but was very reticent about his personal life.


funeral homes usually want to know how you are going to pay for those costs, and the subject tends to come up at the worst possible time. This time would be right after a loved one passes away. It can be very stressful to come up with the money or arrange financing at a sad time when so many details need to be attended to.



You see, it may be true that I'm not perfect, but by the same token, I don't feel guilty for not being perfect because I'm doing the best that I can. I do not feel like a sinner, although with such strict guidelines, as in the 10 Commandments, I've probably broken a few. Still, I have more integrity and ethics than most others that I meet, most everyone I have met in fact, and I really didn't need a lecture from the pastor at the local church.

Acknowledging what you fear about death is the first step to overcome it. Talk to your friends or family about the reasons you fear death. Not only will you help yourself with your fear of death but them as well. Seek professional help if you need to. Death is a part of life, don't live your life fearing it.
