Keep Your Eye on the Ball
To celebrate male cancer awareness month, Keep Your Eye on the Ball has launched a charity SMS competition. Fans can enter to win signed England football shirts. On 9 April, former Chelsea footballer and Premier League man-in-black Peter Walton will referee a celebrity five-a-side game. The match will raise money for research at The Everyman Centre, the only centre in Europe dedicated to research into male cancer.

Teddy Sheringham hosts celebrity five-a-side match

Football superstar Teddy Sheringham is hosting a celebrity five-a-side match on Monday. The footballer, 33, has waited 16 years to win his first major trophy and has won three of them in a row. The north-east Londoner grew up loving Tottenham Hotspur and played football with his brother Jimmy near White Hart Lane.

Sheringham began playing football at a young age, and played at school and county levels. He even played for a local team, Beaumont in Leytonstone, at the age of 15. He knew that football was his only passion, but his careers master at school told him that he should give up his dreams of playing football and focus on other pursuits.

In 1997, Sheringham was transferred to Manchester United for PS3.5 million, and soon replaced Eric Cantona at Old Trafford. He helped the club win the FA Charity Shield on penalties, and he was named as the third-highest scorer in the league that season. After two seasons in the second tier, he was named in the England squad and won the league.

Jason Cundy hosts celebrity five-a-side match

Jason Cundy is an English television presenter. He presents the talkSPORT show The Sports Bar, co-presents Chelsea TV's Evening Kick-Off and co-presents Football First on talkSPORT. He is the co-founder of the classic section of Sports Bar, "Turnip of the Week". He has been married to Hannah Pedley, a mezzo-soprano.

Cheryl Cole gave an exclusive interview to talkSport, revealing attempts to change Simon Cowell's hairstyle and admitting that she wasn't going to watch her husband play in the World Cup. Cundy was delighted by the exclusive, which talkSport circulated to the Press. However, the rumours surrounding his marriage to Lizzie proved to be untrue.

Learn More launches SMS competition

Former English footballer Teddy Sheringham has launched an SMS competition in support of a charity called Keep Your Eye on the Ball. The charity aims to make the public more aware of the importance of checking their testicles before playing football. The competition will run throughout the month of May, and winners will receive a special prize.

The winner will be chosen on the basis of a simple SMS message sent to the charity's mobile number. Text the word 'Teddy' to 799777. Text the message to get a chance to win a prize worth £10. If the message is read correctly, you will win a prize worth up to £50. The competition is open to people worldwide, and anyone can enter, regardless of age.

Teddy Sheringham played for Manchester United before joining the club. In 2004, he was the Championship Player of the Year. He spent two seasons at the club and helped them reach the League Cup final. He was also an important part of the team's promotion in the Football League Championship. He then moved to West Ham United, where he was a key player in their promotion to the Premier League. He also appeared in the 2006 FA Cup Final, becoming the oldest outfield player to score a goal in a top-flight game.
