Dayseeker The Dayseeker, a SoCal Metalcore band has set a new bar in the year 2019 with Sleeptalk. The album was named to be the most popular album of 2019 in the opinion of alternative media. Their latest offering, Dark Sun, builds on the previous album while expanding the band's songwriting and overall scope.

The album's top track is also the most memorable. The masterclass in songwriting that is "Dreamstate" is synth driven with its powerful vocals and orchestral elements. It is an example of the best in songwriting.
"Parallel" is yet another stunning track with its slow, emotional start with the softest of guitar melodies. It's a poetic and musical masterpiece that's an artwork as it is a musical wonder.
The tour in support of the new album was great fun including a stop in Brooklyn's Knitting Factory. This was a great chance to get to know the band, as being able to see Caskets (from the UK) and Holding Absence make their US debut.
It was a small space, but the lighting setup that the band used for their set was impressive. The band had large "Sleeptalk" and neon lights that resembled their album's cover.
This is one of those bands with whom you be a bit hurt, but you have to admit that they are making one of the most creative music you'll see in a while. It is a true testament to the band's courage and determination that they are able to achieve what very few other bands can and create something so genuinely special. I'm looking forward to hearing their next album.
