Dayseeker is an California post-hardcore band has released four albums so far. The albums include Origin in 2013, What It is to be Defeated means, Dreaming is Sinking Waking Ins Rising in 2015 and Sleeptalk in the year 2019. The group's lineup has been bolstered in recent years and has included bassist Andrew Sharp and drummer Mike Karle.
Origin was the band's breakout album. But What It Means to Be The Defeated album was a promising debut to their professional career. Origin is the Orange County, California band's new album is more engaging and bigger than their debut, taking on the heavier aspects of their music with greater precision and nuance. Rodriguez's harsh voice is more at ease in the mix and the breaks they use are less overused as on What It Means to be Defeated. This gives a better overall listen.
The album opens with an unsavory note, but the band quickly puts the record straight with "A Cancer Uncontained." The track is an example of their best work and is a fantastic introduction to their dark, heavy, and atmospheric post-hardcore. The remainder of the album follows their style, thankfully.
