Review of "The Devil Wears Prada".
It's difficult for us to believe that "The Devil Wears Prada" is turning 15 this June, remains an iconic classic. The film adaptation of 2006 was inspired by Lauren Weisberger's novel from 2003. Anne Hathaway and Meryl Steep were the main characters of the film.


The satirical comedy of an aspirant editor of a magazine who is offered her dream job at Runway which is a replacement for Vogue and has a witty look at elites and their need to be a powerhouse. One of the most intriguing aspects of the tale is how the characters inside get a better understanding of the world outside than they could otherwise be capable of.



Andy Sachs is played by Anne Hathaway. The Devil Wears Prada Merch is an incoming college graduate who gets her first position as an assistant in Runway to Miranda Priestly. Priestly is the editor-in-chief, the haughty girl as well as Andy Sachs. While she believes she'll enjoy herself but she soon discovers that fashion is a serious business and she has to work hard to keep her place at the top.


The boss she worked for taught her how to appreciate fashion and admire her personal style. She also shows her how to get the most of each moment.


Anne Hathaway, Stanley Tucci and Meryl Steep are the stars of the lively ensemble cast. The scenes depict Andy struggling to find her way through the more challenging world of her new position. Andy isn't a big fan of the score by Elton John, and Anna Shapiro's direction may be a bit slow and unsatisfying at times.


It could be prevented in large part by having the musical more focused on the complicated and complex issues that are involved. While the musical contains some songs about Gen Z fashion, as well as the struggle of women who are pioneers working in the workplace however, none of the songs are particularly captivating.


The Devil Wears Prada could be more effective by focusing on one of these themes , and not been a jingle about "decorating your house" or "jobs that provide rent" and so on. There are some moments that are funny as well as touching in the show like glimpses into the relationships Andy has with her boyfriend and friends.


The show has lost some of its excitement and concludes without fireworks. It's a slow-burn that's not quite ready to go on Broadway at this point.


There's a chance that the Chicago production of the new musical may remain on display when it moves to Broadway. This is great news for those who happen to be in the area and may be able to attend. It's also possible that this is a great idea that needs to be refined and adapted to meet its runway-ready potential.
