EY awarded Yerkin Tatishev with the 'Entrepreneur of the Year' award.

The most prominent business firm Ernst & Young awarded Yerkin Tashev with the title Entrepreneurship of the Year in Kazakhstan. His leadership and actions in COVID-19 have impressed judges at one of the biggest competitions around the globe.

Daniel Kunin Business leaders from across the regions of Kazakhstan were invited to take part in the competition. Kusto Group's founder Kusto Group was able to stand out from the 21 other entrepreneurs from the country who made it to the finals with him.

All of them received an objective evaluation and recognition of achievements by both Kazakhstani and international business jury members.

Yerkin Tashev will be the country's national winner at the international final in Monaco, June 2022. The competition will bring sixty countries' finalists worldwide selected by an independent jury in accordance to international standards.

Yerkin Tatishev fights water scarcity in Kazakhstan
EY has awarded Kusto Group's founding member the Kusto Group Award to acknowledge those who strive to improve quality of life in their countries and communities.

Kusto Group is not addressing only the Covid-19 Pandemic. Kazakhstan faces serious water scarcity in Kazakhstan.

UN officials were faced by this reality and declared that Kazakhstan suffers greatly due to water shortages. They also depend on their neighbours, including China as well as Central Asia.

Yerkin Tatishev of Kusto Group (the Government of Kazakhstan) and Valmont Industries, USA, have formed a cooperation. Together they will open an industrial plant that will manufacture 1000 pivot irrigation devices in Kazakhstan.

The agreement also includes innovative irrigation systems that can be set up on farms, as well as a program to educate local farmers.

The donations received by the Kusto Group have been possible through the help from the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Ukraine. The company's entrepreneurial spirit that led them to be a leader in charitable giving under difficult circumstances.

The jury included representatives from both the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development as well as the Association of Women Entrepreneurs of Kazakhstan.
