It's fall in full swing and with it, spooky decor. If you're looking to make your home more festive this year, look no further than Pottery Barn's new Halloween collection! There's everything you'll require, from rattan pumpkins, embroidered skulls, table throw and black crow wreaths to sparkling Jacks-o'lanterns.
A warm pumpkin pillow will make you feel warm and comfortable.
The Pottery Barn Cozy pumpkin pillow is an essential item this season. pumpkinpillow and teddy bear-inspired design makes it feel warm and welcoming. The pumpkin comes in a large brown, medium white as well as a smaller dark-brown You can also customize it to fit your personal style.
Angie of Beneath the Magnolias shared a simple, non-sew version of the pumpkin pillow, using the Pottery Barn pillow cover, and burlap. You can make the finished product look even more beautiful by adding some Jute twine around the edges.
For this project you will require a cover for your pillow (any kind will do) and some burlap, jute twine poly-fil, a needle and thread, scissors, and your favorite pumpkin pattern.
Step 1: Pick an appropriate pillow cover that will fit your pillow size perfectly. Angie picked a pillow cover from Pottery Barn that is down filled and tan, with 3 embroidered pumpkins on it.
Once you've created the pillow cover, cut the piece of burlap into a pumpkin. Attach it to your pillow cover. You may want to glue a few pieces of jute on top of the piece to prevent it from unravelling and also you can use some hot glue to keep it in place.
It is possible to use the jute string to create vines along the sides of your pumpkin , too. The jute twine can be a nice finishing touch and it helps to keep the burlap to not unravel.
The next step is to sew the sides of the pumpkin. Finally, you can tie it up with the twine made of jute. Angie used a sewing machine to stitch the pillow with the same thread. She also held the jute in place using an attached button on the top of her pillow to ensure it stays together.
In the end, she added little bling for the pumpkin eyes and hot glued the eyes down. When she was pleased with the bling, the pumpkin pillow looked as beautiful as it did when it was first delivered.
