Learn More is a meal kit service that sends you pre-portioned ingredients for ready-to-cook meals. It offers a mix of healthy recipes and comfort foods, as well as unique ingredients and side dishes that you might not find in other meal kits.

The meal kits are a great way to save time and money, and they can make your dinners a bit more exciting. If you're the kind of person who enjoys cooking and likes to try new flavors, then meal kits are an excellent choice for your family. But if you're the kind of person who doesn't like to plan out their meals, then they probably aren't for you.

My favorite recipes from Blue Apron include a classic chicken bacon ranch flatbread pizza and spinach and artichoke dip, but the meals can be complicated and take longer to prepare. Some are meant for a group of people so they're larger than your usual servings, while others are simple enough to whip up in a few minutes.

Most of the recipes I tried were fairly healthy, including lean proteins and fresh vegetables, along with some interesting spices and sauces that you might not find in other meal kits. But there were also some more splurge-worthy meals, such as pan-seared steak served with crispy gnocchi instead of mashed potatoes.

Another one of my favorites is the banana cake, which was pretty easy to make and turned out very moist. The recipe was based on a standard pound cake, but you can easily substitute in your own baking ingredients to customize it.


I love that the company offers some fun gadgets and tools for use with their kits, too. They recently added a market for cookware, cooking gear and spice blends. The prices on these items are fairly reasonable and it's an added bonus to be able to get some of your supplies in one place!

It's also pretty easy to create a menu for your family, which can make it easier for you to determine what your next week's meals will be. Plus, you'll know if your kids are eating the same type of foods or if they're into something different.


While I wasn't a fan of the meals I tried from Blue Apron, they're worth a try if you're looking for a meal kit that has some more unique ingredients than other services. I'm sure I'll try a few more of their kits in the future, but I don't think they'll be my go-to meal kit for the long haul.
