美食整体介绍：
昆明小吃品种繁多，小吃店遍布大街小巷，晚上还可逛逛昆明的夜市，这里的大排档一直经营到凌晨。昆明十大名特风味小吃是：过桥米线、四喜汤圆、荞包子、太师饼、都督烧卖、荠菜饺、火腿豆焖饭、小锅米线、饵块、什锦凉米线。
在昆明品尝独特的民族食品，是游客难忘的选择。民族风味菜肴在制作上有烤、腌、冻、焐、舂等多种方法，器皿有石板、香竹、羊皮、卵石等。
行知提示：到了昆明，一定得品尝这里地道的过桥米线和汽锅鸡。昆明最正宗、最好吃的过桥米线在福华园，靠近景星街（花鸟市场），最便宜的5元。
另外，在民族学院旁的过桥园，也可品尝到正宗的过桥米线；位于小西门的江氏兄弟桥乡园的过桥米线味道也挺不错。
特别关照：在吃米线的时候，第一口千万别直接喝汤，否则会烫伤舌头的。
此外，若是想逛逛夜市，感受一下昆明的火热，那就去尚义街，那里的花市比较有名。
大头菜
系用荠菜根腌制而成，其色黑，所以又名“黑荠”，分为玫瑰黑荠与甜味黑荠而种。在副食品中其用途很广，可生吃，可炒肉，可凉拌，作春卷、烧卖等，若加入少许黑荠、颇能抬味，昆明人吃凉米线，也喜欢加上一点黑荠丝。现在市内各酱彩铺、销售点均有，分为盒装及散装，盒装最适宜作当地土特产礼物送人。
