I disagree with the statement. I think this because William the Conqueror's, Henry III's and Edward I's plan did not work.
William the Conqueror could not easily win over his enemies easily because part of him becoming king was luck and he had to introduce the domesday book to stop the rebellions. It stopped the rebellions that he had to keep going to allowing him to stay in reign easier. This is because there would be no rebelling people to stop him ruling by going to war against him. This shows that he could not easily win all the battles.
The Magna Carta shows that Henry III could not easily defeat his enemies because the barons created the Magna Carta against him. This was to stop him from demanding unfair taxes, for Judges not to be bribed and for trials to be held quickly and fairly. This is because the king could not do whatever he wanted. This shows that he could not easily win this battle.
Edward I could not easily defeat his enemies because he found it tough to invade and conquer Wales. This was to stop Wales from being trouble. This stopped Wales from being trouble for 100 years but he found it hard to become ruler. This shows not all kings can defeat their enemies easily.
