Saigyouji Yuyuko Plush Review


The Saigyouji Yuyuko Plush is a Touhou Project character plush by Gift. She is a playable character in the games Immaterial and Missing Power, Scarlet Weather Rhapsody and Touhou Hisoutensoku and also the Stage 1 boss from Ten Desires.



Hakugyokurou is her ghost princess from the Netherworld. She was at one time a human. She has the ability to manipulate ghosts and spirits and allow souls to stay in the Netherworld instead of Heaven or Hell. The only character from the Touhou series that first appears as a final boss . She then appears later in another game as an Stage 1 boss.




Her name is taken from the Japanese poet Xi Xing Fa Shi (Saigyo Hoshi) who lived during the Heian period and the early days of Kamakura. There is also a theme of being the "Secluded child" or an "Ghostly child" as the initial character in her name, which means she is very much like the children from the West journey temple who are often kept in the confines and comforts of their own homes.



The Touhou Plush is Gift's first and most popular. Remilia Scarlet Fumo Plush features a adorable design as well as a great texture. It's a fantastic option for any collection and is well worth the price!
