Many individuals do their very best not to think of death or even talk about it. In fact many people are terrified of being exposed to it. The fears of death are many, but like it or not its inevitable. Rather than living the rest of your life in fear, perhaps facing your fears now will make life easier for you.


Jesus said something even more shocking earlier in this passage. He clearly proclaimed his divine nature to them. "If you knew me you would know my Father." (John 8:19) Jesus had made very plain to them that he and his Father were in perfect agreement as to what his purpose was when he took on humanity and came into this world. "For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him". (John 3:17) His enemies were shocked that Jesus would claim to be God, they were astonished that he claimed power to bring salvation to their souls. This was a day for them to remember because they had never heard any man utter such outrageous things.

I've personally grieved the loss of family members and dear friends; however, recently I experienced, for the first time, a slow, impending death. I watched my 91 year old Mother for months as she made her transition. I watched her body return to the fetal position, her frail skeletal frame show protruding bones and unpreventable decubitus ulcers, feeding tube challenges, and constant pain. Through it all, though, she never lost her warm smile and her tenacity to fight. I marveled at her strength and wonder if I could ever have that much fortitude. I watched her peacefully die, at home, in her sleep, just as she had said she wanted to die.


He is calling me now. He wants me to enjoy life and be happy. He is calling you now. He wants you to enjoy life and be happy. He wants us to know that it is not enough to simply enjoy life and be happy though. God wants us to know that we have a soul that is spirit; a soul that will live on after the body dies. God wants us to realize that the soul and the body were created by Him to work together as one in the same spirit to be able to communicate with Him.

Now that I've made that clear, I can reveal to you that you, a Spirit, are involved in a power struggle. In fact, it is more than a mere struggle; it's an intense WAR. This war is quite literally the battle of your human existence and it is waged between two powerful spiritual forces that are related, as I mentioned above: Death and LIFE. Since you've chosen to read this article, the latter of the two is likely winning the fight. But pay close attention; understanding the relationship between these two forces can potentially save your LIFE.


Nothing hurts like disappointment. Disappointment feels like being let down in a major way. What I learned about disappointment from my experience is that it does pass and something good always comes along to replace the disappointment. I also learned that although no one dies of disappointment, it sure feels like you might, although that feeling will pass.


When DEATH conquers a thing, we consider that thing "Dead". Eventually, this powerful force will end your LIFE physically separating your Spirit from this world completely. But the ultimate goal of this force is not to end your physical life; it wants to end your life spiritually by separating you eternally from your maker, the GOD of all creation.

Death is not easy, especially when unexpected. The best thing you can do is take your emotions out of the process. If you can't do that I would suggest you get help and not go through the process alone. It can be very stressful, cumbersome and you can easily be taken advantage of.
