Cobra Kai is a YouTube Red and, prior to that, YouTube Premium, television show that debuted in the year. The series is about Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka) and Daniel LaRusso(Ralph Macchio), decades after their loss at the 1984 All-Valley Karate Tournament.
This season Daniel discovers that Tom Cole, his business rival (Tanner Buchanan) is trying to convince Doyona International to sever their relationships with him. Robby (Xolo Maruena) is his teenage neighbour, is something that Daniel is wary. He has a difficult relationship with his parents.
The holiday break is when Sam organizes a fundraising event to pay for Miguel's surgery, but it is assaulted by Hawk and Cobra Kai students. Despite his fear, Sam decides to go to the hospital with Daniel to have a heart-to-heart with Miguel about his current situation.
When they get to the hospital, they're greeted by their parents, who are worried about them. Fortunately, the parents manage to convince them that it's not their fault, and they can remain together.
Sam is experiencing a nightmare. Cobra Kai Hats pushes Sam into the pond and drowns her. Luckily, Daniel has helped her overcome this fear , and she can now train in the dojo for the second time.
After decades, Johnny and Daniel return to the dojo that transformed their lives, however their relationship isn't so close as it was. Both are trying to survive and they both want to be good karate instructors as well as look after their children.
They get together they reunite when Ali (Amanda Rose) visit Los Angeles for Christmas. They are initially wary of Robby's presence, and his ability to control their emotions following the school fight.
Finally, they warm up to one another when Robby is able to steal a snake from the local zoo as present to Kreese. They work together to defend their dojo against Cobra Kai.
