Men's Joy Division Shirt
The band Joy Division are one of the most renowned groups of the post-punk era. Their 1979 debut LP, Unknown Pleasures, was an influential record and received acclaim from music publications across the world.

Their unique sound and style revolutionised the way that modern rock was made. They were formed in 1976 in Salford, Manchester. Their members were Ian Curtis (vocals), Bernard Sumner (guitar and keyboards), Peter Hook (bass) and Stephen Morris (drums).

They began playing in smoky clubs in the north of England, before being signed to Factory Records. The band soon forged their own distinct sound, which combined elements of punk with complex, literary lyrics and a hauntingly haunting vocal performance from Ian Curtis.

Eventually, they released their first album and became one of the most popular live acts in the UK. It marked the beginning of the modern era of independent rock. They were also a major inspiration for other bands such as The Cure and New Order.
