Pets. We all seem to have them and they mean various things to each of us. Maybe you see your dog as your companion, someone to share your life experiences with; but the next person sees his dog as a work dog who needs to earn his keep by safe-guarding the family and the family home. Maybe you are a mixture of both. But when your pet dies, there are going to be feelings you need to understand and deal with.



When a Christian fears death he is being irrational. A Christian's belief in the deity of Christ eliminates his fear of death. Jesus didn't mince any words when it came to proclaiming that he was divine. The Jewish leaders came to him and asked, "Who do you think you are?" (John 8:53) "Aren't we right in saying that you are a Samaritan and demon-possessed?" Calling Jesus a Samaritan was the equivalent of using the "N" word in today's culture. Jesus was willing to risk his life to tell them the truth.


First, let us look at death. I know it is an unpleasant subject. But unless you look death in the eye and deny its power over you, it will destroy meaning and happiness. Persons have been investigating Near Death Experiences (NDE) for many decades.

One day, I was shopping at a grocery store and I saw a garden store with roses. I stopped and smelled about 20 varieties, finding roses that were very familiar to me. The next day I went for a walk and discovered a neighborhood with roses blooming and hanging over the fences. Just as people had stopped to smell the roses in my garden, I stopped and smelled the roses in my neighbor's yard.

The Ghost Whisperer Jim dies is a true sign of love and what it is like to be loved. You would think Melinda would be gentle and sympathetic but she wasn't. She was upset at Caitlin and appeared to not want much to do with the ugly affair. Caitlin hurts her Stepdad as she told Melinda, but Melinda is so emotionally outraged and hurt she just wants to disassociate herself with the situation.


When our physical bodies can no longer keep up with the demands of this time space reality, that which defines us as physical will cease to be able to function. However, at that precise point in time, the life source which is our essence will be released from the body and will ultimately join like energies.

What could death teach you? Perhaps how to die to the ego-self and instead live unto your higher self; how to die to clock time and instead live in the timeless now; or, how to die to the life you live and instead live the life you love.
