From my point of view, discrimination is a pervasive problem in our society, occurring in many forms. Whether racial, gender-based or rooted in biases against a particular group, it is undeniably damaging to both individuals and our communities. It seems to lead to unfair treatment and perpetuation of systemic inequalities and can create a culture of fear and distrust. Moreover, it appears like discrimination is often perpetuated by those in positions and privileged, making it especially difficult to eradicate.

It could be argued that, the effects of discrimination are far-reaching and long-lasting, impacting not only those who are directly targeted, but also their families, their communities, and even our society. I would say that they are denied the opportunities and resources they need to succeed, and they may become trapped in a cycle of anxiety, poverty, marginalization, and despair. This may also suggest that discrimination can lead to resentment, anger, and a lack of trust, creating social divisions and making it difficult to build the inclusive, equitable society we all want and deserve. I hold the opinion that discrimination is a barrier to progress, justice, and equality, and we must all work together to overcome it.
