Islam, Jesus' death and the Bible. This almost sounds like a mathematical equation. For me, an avid practitioner of inter-faith dialogue with Arab Muslims, this equation is quite scientific. Each variable in the equation has its place and significance. By Islam, I generally speak of what is written about Jesus in the Quran; though I am careful to understand that there can be a big difference between what is written in the book and what the religion of Islam may teach. By Jesus death I refer to the crucifixion and death of Christ. Of note, the Muslim view of Jesus explicitly denies Christ's death and crucifixion. By the Bible I speak of the rest of the story.

Crafting has come into the modern age. The age of creating your own style and using cutters and dies is moving forward. Remember those "old" machines where you had to crank the arm like an old Model-T engine? You got amazing cuts time after time, but your arm by the end of a crafting day would be sore. You thought back to your grandmother slaving away, kneading bread in her kitchen, as you cranked your machine, taking as long as a minute for the page long cuts. But the end product always made you want to do it again.

Where are you: a house, an art gallery, a museum? Start talking about something around you. While some places do not lend themselves to a great conversation, you might see something that makes you think of some place great you've been, and you can then shift the conversation to that subject.





In order to truly understand the struggle behind the death penalty, we have to investigate where we draw the lines. One person can only kill another person is in the case of self defense. This is generally acceptable. Of course a person could simply claim that, and if they covered their tracks good enough than we can live with that. Does not matter if it turns out that it was murder, as long as we don't know it than it is alright. Again, we have another instance in life that is more about how we feel about it than the actual act itself. So, in a sense it is not the act of killing that bothers us, but how it affects our delicate sense of being.

There is a large range of dies that can be used with the machine to create the right design that is needed. Some of the common tooling dies are: v-dies, rotary bending, 90 degree, acute angle, gooseneck, offset, hemming, seaming, radius, beading, curling, tube and pipe-forming, four-way die blocks, channel-forming, U-bend, Box forming, Corrugating, multiple-bend, and rocker-type dies.

And the next day the sun rose and life went on. I did not die of disappointment. In fact, I felt much better after getting some rest. I slowly began to realize that, although that had been an exciting opportunity, there would be others that would come along. Nothing lasts forever not even disappointment. I wasn't told why the company changed their minds and went with someone else, but in the long run it doesn't matter. Everything works out just the way it is suppose to.


What could death teach you? Perhaps how to die to the ego-self and instead live unto your higher self; how to die to clock time and instead live in the timeless now; or, how to die to the life you live and instead live the life you love.
