The Cotton Club was famous for its musical revues , dancing, comedy, variety acts and house bands. Many of the performers began their careers at the Cotton Club's jazz club. Numerous artists like Duke Ellington, Louis Armstrong and Cab Calloway were at the Cotton Club, while others like Dorothy Dandridge, Coleman Hawkins and Don Redman were also members of the group.
