Goku's Super Saiyan Transformation
The Super Saiyan form is one of the most iconic forms from the entire Dragon Ball Z franchise. It allows the user to transform into an entirely different physical form, gaining the ability to fight at superhuman levels of strength and speed.
There are a number of characters who have been able to achieve this form including Shallot, Fu, Mira, and Nappa, amongst others. It's also notable that when Goku becomes a Super Saiyan, his eyes turn red (and remain so in Dragon Ball Heroes and Cooler's Revenge), while his tail turns gold.
Aside from Goku, all of Vegeta's known male descendants are able to transform into a Super Saiyan form as well. This includes his brothers and their children, as well as countless others who are unable to obtain the form on their own.
In addition to the ability to fight at superhuman levels, the Super Saiyan form is also able to heal its user. This was demonstrated when Goku used his Super Saiyan form to revive a bird that had been killed by Frieza during Cooler's Revenge.
