The Golden Girls is an iconic series that has won hearts across generations. Susan Harris created the series, which aired from September 14, 1986, to May 9, 1992. It featured an ensemble cast that included Betty White's Rose Nylund; Rue McClanahan’s Blanche Devereaux; Bea Arthur’s Dorothy Zbornak; and Estelle Greenetty's Sophia Petrillo.
The show was extremely popular, but after seven seasons, Bea Arthur decided to leave the show. She left the show's hour-long finale in May 1992. This episode was seen by 27.2million people. Leslie Nielsen was her replacement, a fan favorite.
