With nearly two dozen albums in their catalogue since 2012, the Australian rock band king Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard are among the most prolific artists worldwide. Their live performances are also well-known. Their soundscapes are as varied as their contemporaries. They mix psychedelic, garage, metal, ambient and dream pop music.

A lot of the band’s recent releases are situationist in nature. This means that a single idea can be explored through a series disjointed pieces. King Gizzard and the Lizard Witch have taken us to places that we couldn't reach easily, whether it's the droning guitar chord on "The Hungry Wolf Of Fate" or the pulsing beat of "Crumbling Castle".

Stu Mackenzie grew up in a family that moved a lot, as his father had to change jobs. He spent most of his childhood in Anglesea's little surf village. He settled in Geelong after moving with his family. His friends, Cook Craig and Lucas Harwood, led him to create King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard.
