Idles T-Shirt For Charity
IDLES is one of the most popular bands in the UK and their recent tour was an absolute success. They've just released a t-shirt for charity to help some incredible charity organizations, like anti-racism organisations and those fighting the coronavirus eradication epidemic.

The mighty Bristol group - that have sold over 25k records and are charting at No 5 - are set to go on the road once more for a headline tour through Europe as well as Australia in January. After the release their fourth album, 2021's Crawler, they've decided to take their music into a new and more experimental direction.


idles merch , 2020's Ultra Mono, pushed Idles' identity as an artist and a political one beyond their limits: more wiry post-punk guitars and more primal, sweaty rhythms with brash, sincere and songs that are socially conscious. It was a bold step, which paid off: Joy As An Act Of Resistance led Idles to a level they previously believed impossible.


Idles is now retaliating. Their new album 2021's Crawler sees them taking the same boldness that made them famous and expanding it while keeping in sight what makes them great.


Crawler offers a lot to love, and not just "Progress" that is the album's standout track. The track is a captivating, Low-esque deconstruction, rife in jittery synths, blurred distortion and other Low-like sounds. The moody, exciting "When The Lights come On" is another standout track. The track combines the band's distinctive, kinetic basslines with choppy guitars to create a haunting post-punk tune that sounds almost like something The Walkmen might have done back in the mid 2000s.


Talbot is another option. The drill-sergeant-singer frontman is the one who has the distinctive, sharp voice. His warm writing creates vivid scenes and transforms smug statements into inventive phrases. While he's still a pro at message songs the most memorable ones that are on this album are those which resolve into simple refrains.


The band's latest LP, Crawler, is a huge departure from their previous work This is the first time they've turned on hip-hop producer Kenny Beats to produce their music. Kenny Beats is a producer who has worked with artists like of Rico Nasty and JPEGMAFIA. This is a bold move which could cause some to be dissatisfied however it can also expand their music in unexpected ways.


Idles are a group that loves to entertain live. They have a natural talent of getting people to dance and sing live on stage and they're a bunch of guys who like being entertained by their peers.


As for their show at Lolla in Cardiff last month, they've gone completely extravagant. Bowen, Kiernan and Beavis all wore oversized Halloween costumes, a far contrast from their usual attire.



They may not be able to be as loud as they could be in a packed arena, but it was still an incredible experience to watch them perform. The band opened the show with "Colossus" that was a dark and haunting song. But it wasn't until that when they played their closing track, "Dissolve," did they really be a blast.
