What I'm saying has nothing to do with what's more socially acceptable (although I can see why would ask that question) because in my mind when someone intentionally takes an innocent life it's crossing the line, regardless of the reason behind it. However, I still believe that there is a difference between the two killers, as well as their overall motive for their actions. For example, Richard Kuklinski primarily killed because it was profitable, and due to his sociopathic mentality - most likely derived at least in part from all the mental and physical abuse he experienced as a child - he was able to commit murder over and over again without any remorse for his victims. This also gave him an opportunity to provide a consistent income for his family, and so therefore he became involved in the lucrative underworld business of contract killing for the Gambino crime family, and whoever else was willing to pay a high price in exchange for murder. Now of course there were also instances where Kuklinski would wind up killing someone to get revenge for publicly humiliating him, or just taunting him, where no money or deal was made, and in those cases he would kill because of his violent temper. Most of those happened when he was younger, but he always had a short fuse, and was very unpredictable. There was also that story where he shot a complete and total stranger with a crossbow just to see if it would work, and then all the animal abuse he discussed which made me sick, both of which definitely qualify him as an ice cold killer, no question about it. Now Ted Bundy on the other hand was just completely disturbed beyond all reason, and his motives were mainly sexually driven, involving violent and sick/twisted fantasies with younger women that he wanted to make a reality for his own personal pleasure. He would torture and rape women he knew, and then also break into the homes and do the same to random women he didn't know. Bundy was also a necrophiliac, meaning he would engage in intercourse with the corpses of women after brutally murdering them. He officially confessed to killing 30 women in seven states before he was executed by electric chair, but he told people that killed more than 100, and not of his victims were women. What's really crazy about him is that he was known as a very charming man, which allowed him to earn the trust of his victims before luring them to a secluded place to murder them. Anyways both were obviously very bad men, but their overall motives were very different...
