First Slide:
Planets of the solar system. You asked, what's that? Well, you know the sun? It is a star and the earth orbiting it and there are seven more planets that are orbiting the sun called "the planets of the solar system". In this topic, I will introduce you to the eight planets of the solar system.
Second Slide:
The first planet that is orbiting our sun is Mercury. Not the liquid metal or the grocery store out there but the planet. Mercury is the smallest planet in the solar system and the closest planet to the sun. If on the earth, it takes 365 days, on mercury, it takes 88 earth days to fully orbit the sun or 1 year there.
Third Slide:
Mercury is a rocky planet. Mercury has a solid, cratered surface, much like the Earth's moon. We cannot breathe there, it has no moons, and we cannot leave there. It doesn't support any life structure that will help us breathe there, drink water there, and eat there.
Fourth Slide:
The next planet is Venus, the second planet near the sun. Often called Earth's twins because it's similar in size and density. One year on venus takes 243 earth days and is also known as the hottest planet in the solar system. Really hot there isn't it?
Fifth Slide:
Like Mercury, it has no moons, sadly. We can't leave there too since it doesn't support any life structure and the temperature there is deadly. Just one step there and you're a speck of dust. also, any planet in the solar system rotates counter-clockwise but Venus rotates clockwise. Really cool.
Sixth Slide:
And now, the third planet near the sun is our Earth. We all know that it takes 365 days on Earth to fully orbit the sun. Not like other planets, Earth has a life structure so we could really live here. We can breathe here easily, we got food to eat and water to drink and many more.
