If you’re new to this and want to know how to get approval for an article, here are some instructions and pointers:
STEP 1
Send us information about your idea. We need a few details in order to give you a proper answer:
- Your CharacterID and Character name.
- The name of the magazine and if it's an online and/or printed magazine.
- In which countries will the magazine be distributed?
- Describe the magazine and what they usually write about.
- What is the magazine's target audience? (i.e. is it for musicians, gamers, stamp collectors, young or old readers etc)
- How many readers does the magazine have on a monthly basis (roughly)?
- If possible, send us a draft of the article for us to read before it's published.
ALL information is not required to proceed, but please try to add as much information as possible, since that helps us verify the magazine and track new players from the article at a later point.
STEP 2
Wait for our reply!
We don't handle this on a daily basis, so don't be alarmed if it takes a week or two before you get a reply. All emails will be replied to eventually!
We may have some follow up questions, and we may point out errors in your draft (if there are any).
For online magazines we prefer to have a referral url since that helps us keep track on how many new players we got from the magazine. If you, in Step 1, told us that it's an online magazine and gave us the name of the magazine, we will reply with the referral url.
STEP 3
- Have your article published.
- Provide us with a url to the online magazine so we can have a look. If it's a printed magazine, take a picture of it (so it's readable) and send the picture to us so we can have a look at your great work!
IMPORTANT!
Keep the email history intact! When you reply to us, or if you need to send additional information, make sure that your original message and all history (replies from both us and you) of the discussion is included.
