Summaries
The coronavirus is a group of viruses that cause illnesses ranging from the common cold to more serious diseases such as pneumonia, Middle East respiratory syndrome (MERS) and severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS). That has caused the outbreak in China is new and not previously known. Both were unknown before the outbreak broke out in Wuhan, China, in December 2019.

Cause
-Poor hygiene can cause you to catch it.
-Not following biosafety rules.
Effect
-Es una enfermedad que deja secuelas, es decir quedas padeciendo de algo en tu cuerpo.
-En el peor de los casos, te conlleva a la muerte.

Compare and contrast
-COVID-19 is very easy to transmit.
-Only 1 in 6 infected will get it seriously.
-The main form of transmission of both pandemics is physical contact with infected people.
-Saturation of the International Health System.
-Greater transmission in closed environments, without protection resources, with high population density, frontline workers in different sectors and with little possibility of mobility.
-From the beginning, to the present there are 674 million registered cases.
-6.87 million deaths recorded worldwide.
-Someone who has completed quarantine or been released from isolation does not pose an infection risk to other people.
-Older adults and people of any age who have serious underlying medical conditions may be at higher risk for more serious complications from COVID-19.
-COVID-19 is a type of coronavirus, specifically SARS-CoV-2. It is very contagious and can spread very quickly.
-The Coronavirus (Covid-19) has no cure, but it has a remedy called a vaccine.
-Facemasks or masks were used in both pandemics.

Facts
1. It affects older adults more.
2. Getting a COVID-19 vaccine reduces the risk of contracting a COVID-19 virus infection.
3. Not wearing a mask produces more risk of contagion.

Opinion about the facts
1. I think that it affects older adults more because their illness is not as strong as ours and it is also declining, making them weaker and therefore more at risk of becoming infected.
2. It is good that you reduce it because that way the level of infections in the world drops and you can better fight covid.
3. The best thing would be to use a mask to reduce the risk since without it you would be vulnerable and if there is someone nearby with Covid-19, you would surely get it.
