Pantera Merchandise
Pantera is the main force behind the birth of thrash metal. The Texas-based, 1981-born band has sold over ten thousand records worldwide.

Their music is legendary for its soaring riffs, menacing vocals and reputation as one of the best heavy metal bands. Their early work was a mix of classic hardcore and thrash, but with the addition of singer Phil Anselmo in 1986 and a new riffing style influenced by metal masters such as Metallica and Slayer, the band began to gain momentum.

In 1990, Cowboys From Hell released their first full-length album Cowboys From Hell. This powerful album helped them to establish themselves as the fathers in 'groove' metal, a style of thrash music that is often associated with Slayer and Metallica. Achieving success on the back of this groundbreaking release, they also made an impression with their 1992 album Vulgar Display of Power.

The group has now regrouped and is getting ready for their first tour in 20-years. They will be joined by Charlie Benante, Anthrax drummer, and Rex Brown, longtime bassist, and Phil Anselmo as vocalists and bassists. They will be performing their reunion shows in South America, Mexico and elsewhere.

But there's still a certain amount of controversy around the band's decision to sell a t-shirt with a design that includes the Confederate flag. Rolling Stone discovered that Pantera had sold an item that included the flag, a nude blonde woman and the potleaf. Without any explanation, the band removed it from their official website.
