其實，若等庭等個一個多小時，待會輪到自己時也開久一點，對自己的案件能多講一點、法官能多盡心審理一點，也就罷了、算了。 但最氣的是，往往等庭等個一個多小時，輪到自己時，法官只開個五分鐘，講不到兩、三句話，實在會令人氣結。 實際上，法官要避免上述等個一個多小時的情況，並不是不行，法官審理前一定看過卷，對於案件的複雜難易一定有所瞭解，妥善地安排時間、避免久候絕對是做得到的。
民間司改會曾在2005年函請司法院通令各法院將當日庭期的實際開庭時間同步公布於各該法院網站，俾當事人得隨時上網查知。 相信很多人到法院開庭，都有等庭等超過個半小時的經驗，律師更不用說，稍有經驗的訴訟律師，一定等過1小時、甚至2小時以上的庭。 許多訴訟律師都很無奈，或許他們大半的「黃金」時間，都在法院等庭度過。
也有很多人好奇「筆錄完多久開偵查庭呢？」答案是數周到數個月不等。 筆錄做完以後，警方會將案件移送地檢署，由檢察官來決定是否起訴。
二、「庭長」是指法院行政系統某庭之長官，法院編制龐大，必須分職設官以利行政事務之推動，故法院常依業務，分為民事庭、刑事庭、家事法庭、民事執行處等各庭，每一庭下有若干人員，故於每一庭設庭長一人為行政上首長，監督該庭行政事務。 本書每一章都分為程序和實務兩部分，既有總體的、全面的原則性論述，又有具體的各種類型案件的辦案技巧，內容豐富，資料翔實。
