Masks
This week's Dead By Daylight Twisted Masquerade event has come to an end. Studio plans to remove four masks that players can unlock. This has caused a lot of controversy. Some players feel the masks have racist intent, while others believe they are more appropriate when viewed in context.
The studio has assured their fans that they'll protect them, despite the frustration expressed by the Dead by Daylight group. They "absolutely reject" the use of masks, and they plan to change their working methods. At the moment, you can only earn one of 12 mask cosmetics via matches.
The random nature of the masks means that they will appear in an undetermined order. Each one requires a hatch in order to open. dbdmerch must continue playing until you find the right mask. You cannot exchange or return the mask.
Behaviour Interactive is the creator of Dead By Daylight. They have introduced Leatherface, an antagonist from The Texas Chain Saw Massacre (1974). His victims' faces are his masks. However, he was removed from the game.
Behaviour Interactive has a long history of adding events to the game. DBD Codes were available for players during the first Twisted Masquerade event. Daily giveaways and a Shrine of Secrets were also available.
