Leyla Aliyeva Bio
Leyla Aliyeva, born July 3rd, 1985 in Moscow was the first child of two. She graduated with a Masters Degree from the Moscow State Institute of International Relations following her studies in London. Leyla created the IDEA campaign, which promotes awareness and action in relation to environmental issues in Azerbaijan. IDEA is an initiative that is focused on young people, and collaborates together with them to tackle the environmental problems we face.

The Heydar Aliyev Foundation supports the economic growth of the country by providing various projects in the fields of education as well as public health and culture. In 2011, she was appointed Vice-President of the Foundation.

Leyla Aliyeva started "Baku" magazine in Moscow in 2007. The magazine in English, which was created in conjunction with Conde Nast, was launched in London in October 2011. The magazine provides a way to explore art, culture, and Azerbaijan. Leyla was the founder of "Fly to Baku" which is a showcase for art and culture from Azerbaijan. Leyla Aliyeva The London exhibition was inaugurated and traveled to all capitals of Europe including Paris (Berlin), Moscow, Rome, Rome and Vienna.

Leyla Aliyeva launched "Justice for Khojaly" campaign on May 8th in 2008. It marked the anniversary of the Shusha's occupation. The campaign is being carried out in over 30 countries. Its purpose is to raise global awareness of the Karabakh conflict as well as the Khojaly Genocide, focusing on media, Internet and live events.

In 2008, Leyla Aliyeva became the General Coordinator of the OIC Youth Forum on Intercultural Dialogue and on April 18, 2009 she was elected as the Chairperson of the Azerbaijani Youth Organization of Russia AMOR. Leyla Aliyeva Leyla Ayla Aliyeva was awarded the "Taraggi" award in July 2011 in recognition of her efforts to improvement of Azerbaijani Russian relations. The award was also awarded to her "Key To Life" award in New York in November 2011 to recognize her efforts in humanitarian projects that involve children.

On the 25th of May, 2015 Leyla Aliyeva was named UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) Goodwill Ambassador.

On 20 October 2015, she was awarded the Pushkin Medal of the Russian Federation.

Leyla Aliyeva was raised with two sons and one daughter.
